Question
Shaykh Salih bin Fauzan al-Fauzan asked: Due to my ignorance about all kinds of monotheism and what is essentially, in the meantime I want innocent of (the things that are contrary to monotheism, that is) kesyirikan, then I expect an answer from the following questions. How many types of monotheism, and how the explanation of each?
Answers.
May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala add your spirit to seek the good, and this really shows how much your attention to the problem aqidah. Indeed, the Muslim should pay attention to sound belief because it is a principle aqeedah (foundation) of his deeds. Charitable acts are said to be correct and will get the reward only if it meets the following two conditions:
First.
Charity must be built on the correct Aqeedah (sincere).
Second.
Must match what is prescribed by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam (mutaba'ah).
Your attention to doctrinal camps, namely relating to knowledge of a variety of monotheism, show you excited meraih alhamdulillah-goodness, wanted the truth and straightness aqidah a must for every Muslim.
Pleased with all kinds of monotheism, then I say that there are three kinds of monotheism.
First: Tawhid rububiyah.
That is the Oneness of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala in terms of deeds. Such as create, giving sustenance, turn on and off, bring in danger, provide benefits, and others which are specific deeds Allaah. A Muslim must believe that Allaah has no allies in RububiyahNya.
Second: Tawhid Uluhiyah
That is the Oneness of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala in the types of worship that have been prescribed. Such as prayer, fasting, zakat, hajj, prayer, vow, sacrifice, hope, anxiety, fear, etc., that belong to the type of worship. Oneness of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala in such matters is called Tawhid Uluhiyah; and monotheism is the type demanded by Allah wa Ta'ala Subhanhu of His servants. Because the monotheism of the first kind, namely Tawheed rububiyah, everyone (including jinn) to admit it, even though the idolaters that Allaah sent the Prophet to them. They mayakini Tawhid this rububiyah, sebagaiman is the word of Allaah.
"It means: And if you asked them, Who created them? Would they answer God. So how can they deluded (away from the worship of God)." [Al-Zukhruf: 87]
"It means: Say, Who has the seven heavens and has a great Throne? They will say, Unto God. Say, why do not you pious?" [Al-Mu'minun: 86-87]
There are many verses that show that people believe in Tawheed rububiyah idolaters. However, the fact is demanded of them is the Oneness of God in worship. If they pledge Tawhid rububiyah, it should also recognize Uluhiyah Tawheed (worship). Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (sent to) called on them to believe in Tawheed Uluhiyah. It is mentioned in the Word Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.
"Translation: And verily We sent messengers to every nation (proclaiming), Worship Allah (alone), and depart from Thagut, and among peoples that there were people who were given instructions by God and there are also people which has been confirmed false. Therefore, walk ye in the earth and see what was the end of those who deny (the messengers) "[An-Nahl: 36]
Each apostle called on people to believe in Tawheed Uluhiyah. The Tawhid rububiyah, because it is a given, it is not enough if one only believes this unity alone.
Third: The nature of Tawheed Asma was
That set the names and properties saifat to Allaah in accordance with the established by God for Himself and which has been established by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, and eliminate the deficiencies and shame-shame that dispensed by God against himself, and what is dispensed by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam.
Three types of monotheism is what must be known by a Muslim, then seriously, practice it.
