Sin Erasers

Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullah give a very good lesson about what deeds that could take away sins. Explanations are concise and simple so that hopefully can touch our hearts so it does not continue to go on in a puddle of sin.

Abul 'Abbas Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said,

Sin can be erased with a few things:

First: Taubat.

Second: Istighfar not covered in repentance. Verily Allah forgive and pray mengijabahi His servants even though he only beristihfar without including repentance in it. But if repentance is accompanied by a seek forgiveness, then it is more perfect.

Third: Practice Salih who take away sins. The practice is more beneficial is the practice of general or specific nature (in eliminating a sin). ... Forgiveness of sins is obtained here if one is to include evil with goodness. What is meant hasanaat (good) is something that is encouraged by God through His Prophet oral alaihi wa sallam form of deeds, morality and nature.

Fourth: Disaster as a sin. The accident is anything that feels painful form of anxiety, sadness and pain that befall the property, honor, or other bodies. Yet this tragedy did not come by the will of the servant. [1]

May be a valuable lesson.
